Vacuum packed!¡

We would like to share with you our packaging system since we are very proud of it.
All our pieces are vacuumed packed to preserve them from every inclemency they could be exposed to.
We know most of your little treasures are, sometimes, 80 years old. So we decided to give them a safe place to be from now on!
A sticker with an explanation of the materials that the pieces or the beads are made of, and their story will be accompanying the packaging. 
This way we hope we help you giving your designs the look and the meaning you are looking for with our pieces.


Queremos compartir con vosotros nuestro sistema de packaging ya que estamos muy orgullosos de él.
Todas nuestras piezas están envasadas al vacío para preservarlas de cualquier inclemencia a la que podrían estar expuestas.
Sabemos que algunos de nuestros pequeños tesoros pueden llegar a tener 80 años. Así que hemos decidido darles un sitio seguro de ahora en adelante!¡
Una pegatina con una explicación de los materiales de los están hechas las piezas, junto con su historia, acompañarán el packaging. 
Esperamos que así podáis darles a vuestros diseños el look y el significado que estáis buscando.

Asymmetric Rivoli

A Pear Shaped 9/18mm silver light asymmetric rivoli is one of our new findings. It used to be Art.356 of the Swarovski products. They are in a tremendously good state considering they are around 50 years old.
We counted 463 of them and we are ready to sell them to you as soon as you need them.
We believe vintage Swarovski can give your designs the touch you are looking for.


Otro de nuestros nuevos encuentros ha sido un rivoli asimétrico Pear Shape 9/18mm silver light.
Era el artículo núm. 356 de los productos Swarovski. Estan tremendamente bien conservados si tenemos en cuenta que tienen unos 50 años.
Hemos contado 453 piezas y estamos listos para ofrecértelas tan pronto como las necesites.

An Emperor's Crown

We found another emperor on the screen but this time for a smaller production closer to home.

We had the pleasure of meeting with the creator of the jewellery and costumes of this Tirante el Blanco of Vicente Aranda (2006). A film based on the medieval novel Tirant lo Blanc of Joanot Martorell (1490).

Amadeu Ferrer i Mas was the executor of some of the beautiful pieces that are shown in this motion picture about a Knight from Valencia. 

We were in his workshop about 3 years ago and he proudly showed us his work for the film and for theatre and opera. 

His work has continued related to costumes of scene as we want to be doing as well.

Hemos encontrado otro emperador en la pantalla pero esta vez en una producción más pequeña y muy cerca de casa.

Tuvimos el placer de conocer al creador de la joyería y los trajes de Tirante el Blanco de Vicente Aranda  (2006). Película basada en la novela Tirant lo Blanc de Joanot Martorell (1490). 

Amadeu Ferrer i Mas fue el ejecutor de algunas de las maravillosas piezas que se muestran en esta película que trata de un caballero de Valencia. 

Estuvimos en su taller hace unos 3 años donde nos enseñó, orgulloso, su trabajo para el film y otros para teatro y ópera. 

Su labor con el espectáculo continua al igual que queremos hacer nosotros.

Cabochon smile

We want to give you a good reason for smiling:
These four beautiful colors we have found today. All these glass cabochon stones measure 25x18mm,
certainly a good size for a crown for Henry VIII, don't you think... 
They seem to be in very good condition taking into account the state of the boxes they were in. If I tell you they are 50 years old we can all understand what I am talking about.


Queremos darte una buena razón para sonreír:
Los cuatro fantásticos colores que hemos encontrado hoy. Estos cabujones de cristal miden 25x18mm,
ciertamente una buena medida para la corona de Enrique VIII, no creéis...
Están en muy buen estado teniendo en cuenta la pinta que tenían las cajas que los contenían. Si os digo que tiene 50 años podéis entender de lo que estoy hablando.
   

The Tudors

This costume drama features England's splendid Renaissance dynasty under King Henry VIII.
Believe it or not I started watching it yesterday. First season, 2 episodes and I have to admit it caught me. I am not very fond of this unrealistic history drama shows, but this one is definitely very attractive to watch.
Lets be honest, I couldn't stop looking at the fantastic jewellery they wear. The costumes and the jewellery have been design with great taste. A splendid mixture between historical and modern fashion. Congrats!

Conoces Etsy?¿

Esta es la pinta que tiene nuestra tienda en Etsy!¡

Etsy es una tienda online a medio camino entre Amazon y Ebay pero hecho a mano.
Es el portal "crafty" donde todo lo que encuentras son productos handmade, vintage o supplies, o sea, producto para la manufactura de lo handmade, ya sean beads, piedras, cadenas, Swarovski, hasta herramientas. 
Una de sus curiosidades es que la presentación de los productos esta súper cuidada. Hecho evidentemente relacionado con que la mayoría de piezas son piezas únicas y hechas o coleccionadas con cariño.
Sería como decir que entras en una tienda donde puedes encontrar des de lo mas ñoño hasta lo más "in". 
La verdad es que para CouloirW es un portal perfecto ya que lo que tenemos por aquí se mueve entre lo vintage y el supply, o mejor dicho, las dos cosas juntas, supply vintage, como los magníficos cristales de Swarovski de 1927, por ejemplo.
Estamos super contentos de haber montado nuestra tienda en Etsy. De momento solo tenemos dos cositas pero no os preocupéis que no tardaremos nada en poner un montón de cosas a la venta!¡


Etsy is an online shop half way between Amazon and Ebay but handmade. 
It is a crafty site where everything you might find are handmade products, vintage and supplies, meaning products to manufacture handmade stuff, like beads, stones, chains, Swarovski and even tools.
One of its main attractions is that the presentation of the products is very carefully done. Obviously related to the fact that the majority of the products are one and only or collected with a lot of love.
This site is like going into a shop where you can find something from "mushy" to "arty".
To be honest this site is the best for our CouloirW. The stuff we have is vintage and supplies all at the same time, like the fabulous 1927 Swarovski stones we showed not long ago.
We are tremendously happy to have our shop in Etsy. It is true we only have two products on sale but don't worry soon enough we are going to have a lot of things for sale!¡

ChibiMart

We didn't want to miss the cash&carry ChibiMart fair held in the Fiera Milano City, the old exhibition site of the city of Milano.
It began today and it will close it's doors on monday 22nd of November at 16:00h.
It is the first time we attend this fair and the truth is that this we find this cash&carry system very appropriate for the kind of outlet product offered here. 
The majority of stands have asian product but mostly distributed by european companies, with astonishing prices.
You can find silver and costume jewellery, accessories for costume jewellery, semi precious stones, shoes, bags and mainly all sorts of accessories, even coulottes.
Certainly this is not a tendency fair but if you are interested in a base product at a very good price, this is the place to be.


No hemos querido perdernos la feria de cash&carry ChibiMart que tiene lugar en la Fiera Milano City, el recinto antiguo de la feria de Milan. 
Ha empezado hoy y cerrará sus puertas el lunes 22 de noviembre a las 16:00 horas.
Es la primera vez que nos pasamos por esta feria y, la verdad, el sistema cash&carry es una muy buena solución para un producto de liquidación de stocks como el que se ofrece.
La gran mayoría de stands son de empresas asiáticas aunque muchos con distribuidores europeos, con unos precios realmente impresionantes. 
Podemos encontrar plata, bisutería acabada, accesorios para la creación de bisutería, piedra semipreciosa, zapatos, bolsas y todo tipo de complementos hasta coulottes.
Evidentemente no estamos hablando de una feria de tendencias pero, si estáis interesados en un producto base a muy buen precio, este es el sitio.

60's Earrings

This earrings are proudly made out of plastic in different warm grays with a mother-of-pearl effect as a frame. They measure 25x25mm but they are not heavy in any way.

We are sure Joan Holloway would be delighted to have a pair of them.

Estos pendientes están orgullosamente hechos de plástico en diferentes tonos de gris con efecto madreperla o nácar enmarcándolos. Miden 25x25mm pero no son nada pesados.

Cobalt

Another box. This one is full of these beauties. Cobalt blue semi circumferences measure 30mm of diameter. 
Super size flat-backs!
This kind of crystal does not need much more to make a great accessory. 
It would make an impressive ring. You just need to find a base of the same size to fix it and a ring that does not need to be too thick since the crystal is going to nicely sit on your fingers.
Try with a double ring. It should give it more stability if you need it.

Otra caja. Esta está llena de preciosidades de color cobalto. Semicircunferencias que miden 30mm de diámetro 

¡Super-size flat-backs!  

Este tipo de cristal no necesita mucha ayuda para convertirse en un accesorio genial.

Como anillo nos quedaría impresionante. Solo se necesita una base del mismo tamaño para poder fijar un aro que no necesitaría ser muy ancho ya que el cristal es lo suficientemente grande como para descansar sobre los dedos sin girarse.

Aunque se podría probar con un anillo doble. Seguro que le daría la estabilidad si la necesitamos.

We got brave and started opening a lot of boxes covered on this ancient dust that does not feel dirty anymore. When you open a box like this goose pumps cover all your body and your creative side starts making compositions with the crystals and their colors.
Never mind what your discipline is or what your interests are we are sure you can imagine hundreds of things to do with this pear shaped titania crystals.


En un acto de valentía hemos empezado a abrir un montón de cajas cubiertas de polvo tan antiguo que ya no da la sensación de sucio. Cuando abrimos una caja de estas características se te pone todo la piel de gallina y nuestro lado creativo empieza a imaginar composiciones con los cristales y sus colores.
No importa de que disciplina vengamos o que es lo que mas nos gusta, estamos seguros que podéis imaginar cientos de cosas que hacer con estas peras de cristal titania.

mad men, sí

Everybody is madly in love with this AMC TV series. It started in the summer of 2007. And it just finished its fourth season.
We are not going to talk about the fact that it has a completely round script based on character building and their growth with it, although we find it fantastic.
We want to share how amazed we are by the general esthetics of the series, and how impressive and real the characters look. 
The jewellery has a perfect look. End of 50's, 60's style with a reminiscence of Decó Style. 
Just beautiful! 
Will keep on talking about them, don't doubt it!


Todo el mundo se ha enamorado de esta serie de la cadena de televisión AMC. Empezó en verano de 2007 y ahora acaba de terminar su cuarta temporada.
No vamos a hablar del hecho de que el guión es completamente redondo, basado en la evolución y crecimiento de sus personajes. Aunque nos parezca fantástico.
Queremos compartir lo impresionados que estamos con la estética general de la serie y sus personajes.
La joyería y los complementos en general tienen el look perfecto. El estilo de final de los 50 y 60s con una reminiscencia Decó.
¡Simplemente precioso!

Abanicos de mother of pearl

We just love this Japanese style hand fan!
We found a full box of them and can't wait to start using them for our designs.
They are quite big, they measure 5x3,5cm and they are 2mm of wide, perfect for a necklace or some splendid earrings.


Nos encanta este abanico de estilo japonés!
Hemos encontrado una caja entera de ellos y no podemos esperar a utilizarlos para nuestros diseños.
Son bastante grandes, miden 5x3,5cm y tienen 2mm de grosor.
Perfectos para convertirlos en colgante o en un par de pendientes estupendos.

Luxury for babies

This is an Icansit  high baby chair, originally designed by Carla Monchen. 
This Special Edition high chair also has the honor of being nominated for the Kind und Jugend innovations award 2007. 
We don't really want to think about how this chair is going to look like after a few tasty meals of baby food.
But we can announce we are very happy to see that rhinestones can be used in every single thing we can think about.


La trona para bebés Icansit fue diseñada por Carla Monchen.
Esta edición especial de trona tiene también el honor de haber sido nominada para el premio de innovación de los premios Kind und Jungend de 2007.
La verdad es que no queremos ni pensar en como va a acabar esta silla después de vivir unos cuantos desayunos de apetitosa comida infantil.
Pero podemos anunciar que estamos muy contentos de ver que las piedras de cristal se usan y se pueden usar sobre cualquier superficie y producto sea de lo que sea. 

Purple ribbon

We found this purple ribbon in one of our walks along the CouloirW. It is made out of wood and it has a pin at the back, we can actually say it is a brooch.

We might not appreciate it on the picture, it measures 10x8cm big, so, it is quite big, not very heavy, though.

It was polished with such enthusiasm it feels like a piece of soft fabric.

We think it is perfect to wear on a coat, now that winter is coming, or as a perfect decoration for your scarf lace.

The perfect winter brooch!

Encontramos este lazo púrpura durante uno de nuestros paseos por el CouloirW. Es de madera y tiene un cierre de aguja en la parte trasera, podemos decir con seguridad que es un broche.

No se aprecia en la foto, pero sus medidas son 10x8cm lo que lo hace bastante grande, aunque no es nada pesado.

Está pulido con tanto entusiasmo que cuando lo tocas parece que toques un suave trocito de tela.

En nuestra opinión es perfecto para usar sobre un abrigo, ahora que llega el invierno, o como perfecta decoración para el nudo de la bufanda.

Un broche perfecto para el invierno!

Vintage earrings?¿

Earrings on a stage can often be a problem. In the sense that some earrings can be too big or heavy for a little piece of flesh that we pretend them to hang from and the fact that actresses on stage probably move with more emphasis than the rest of the mortals in our normal lives. 
The pair above are made out of rhinestones and silver metal. They were initially just a clip-on earring type, but it needed some changes in order to be somehow comfortable for the actress.
First of all the earrings were too heavy to stay on with just a clip, so they had to attach a stud. In this case they decided to glue it...why not?!
But that wasn't everything. The three layers of hanging stones kept on getting stuck to the actress' wig during rehearsal. They came across a very effective way of solving the problem, we believe. They used a thin layer of silicone and glued it from the back. The three layers together and a non sticky back. The best of the results!

Los pendientes en un escenario pueden ser, a veces, un problema. Nos referimos a que algunos pendientes tienden a ser demasiado grandes o pesados para la poca carne de la que pretendemos que cuelguen; y al hecho de que las actrices sobre el escenario se mueven con bastante más énfasis que nosotros, el resto de los mortales, en nuestra vida normal.
El par de pendientes de las fotografías arriba están hechos de piedras de strass y metal plateado. Inicialmente se trataba de pendientes de clip, pero debieron de sufrir algunos cambios para convertirse de alguna manera en pendientes cómodos para la actriz.
Primero, al ser muy pesados, se les tuvo que unir un perno. Bueno, en este caso se pegó con pegamento...¿¡y, por qué no?!
Pero eso no fue todo. Las tres filas de piedras colgantes no se pegaban a la peluca de la actriz durante los ensayos. Encontraron una solución muy eficaz, según nuestro punto de vista. Usaron una fina capa de silicona y la pegaron por detrás. Así estaban las tres tiras juntas y no se pegaban a la peluca. El mejor de los resultados!

Braille

Aurumania is a scandinavian design brand. As its name says they have a passion for gold and luxury objects.
This hanging bike is one of the most expensive bikes in the world. It is made out of 24-carat gold and Swarovski crystals.
What we find most interesting of this object and this brand is the way they decided to apply their logo.

This logo can be felt with your finger tips like their products. Of course Braille system is the language that allows them to communicate the sense of touch.
In this case crystal stones are what you feel when you want to know their name.


Aurumania es una marca de diseño escandinava. Como su nombre indica sienten una gran pasión por el oro y los productos de lujo. 
La bicicleta colgada (Foto1) es una de las bicicletas más caras del mundo. Esta hecha de oro de 24 quilates y cristales de Swarovski.
Lo que nos parece realmente interesante de este objeto y esta marca es la manera que han escogido para expresar su logo.

Este logo se puede sentir con la punta de los dedos igual que sus productos. Evidentemente el sistema de Braille es el que les permite comunicarse con el sentido del tacto.
En este caso las piedras de cristal son lo que sentimos cuando queremos saber su nombre.
