Abanicos de mother of pearl

We just love this Japanese style hand fan!
We found a full box of them and can't wait to start using them for our designs.
They are quite big, they measure 5x3,5cm and they are 2mm of wide, perfect for a necklace or some splendid earrings.


Nos encanta este abanico de estilo japonés!
Hemos encontrado una caja entera de ellos y no podemos esperar a utilizarlos para nuestros diseños.
Son bastante grandes, miden 5x3,5cm y tienen 2mm de grosor.
Perfectos para convertirlos en colgante o en un par de pendientes estupendos.

Luxury for babies

This is an Icansit  high baby chair, originally designed by Carla Monchen. 
This Special Edition high chair also has the honor of being nominated for the Kind und Jugend innovations award 2007. 
We don't really want to think about how this chair is going to look like after a few tasty meals of baby food.
But we can announce we are very happy to see that rhinestones can be used in every single thing we can think about.


La trona para bebés Icansit fue diseñada por Carla Monchen.
Esta edición especial de trona tiene también el honor de haber sido nominada para el premio de innovación de los premios Kind und Jungend de 2007.
La verdad es que no queremos ni pensar en como va a acabar esta silla después de vivir unos cuantos desayunos de apetitosa comida infantil.
Pero podemos anunciar que estamos muy contentos de ver que las piedras de cristal se usan y se pueden usar sobre cualquier superficie y producto sea de lo que sea. 

Purple ribbon

We found this purple ribbon in one of our walks along the CouloirW. It is made out of wood and it has a pin at the back, we can actually say it is a brooch.

We might not appreciate it on the picture, it measures 10x8cm big, so, it is quite big, not very heavy, though.

It was polished with such enthusiasm it feels like a piece of soft fabric.

We think it is perfect to wear on a coat, now that winter is coming, or as a perfect decoration for your scarf lace.

The perfect winter brooch!

Encontramos este lazo púrpura durante uno de nuestros paseos por el CouloirW. Es de madera y tiene un cierre de aguja en la parte trasera, podemos decir con seguridad que es un broche.

No se aprecia en la foto, pero sus medidas son 10x8cm lo que lo hace bastante grande, aunque no es nada pesado.

Está pulido con tanto entusiasmo que cuando lo tocas parece que toques un suave trocito de tela.

En nuestra opinión es perfecto para usar sobre un abrigo, ahora que llega el invierno, o como perfecta decoración para el nudo de la bufanda.

Un broche perfecto para el invierno!

Vintage earrings?¿

Earrings on a stage can often be a problem. In the sense that some earrings can be too big or heavy for a little piece of flesh that we pretend them to hang from and the fact that actresses on stage probably move with more emphasis than the rest of the mortals in our normal lives. 
The pair above are made out of rhinestones and silver metal. They were initially just a clip-on earring type, but it needed some changes in order to be somehow comfortable for the actress.
First of all the earrings were too heavy to stay on with just a clip, so they had to attach a stud. In this case they decided to glue it...why not?!
But that wasn't everything. The three layers of hanging stones kept on getting stuck to the actress' wig during rehearsal. They came across a very effective way of solving the problem, we believe. They used a thin layer of silicone and glued it from the back. The three layers together and a non sticky back. The best of the results!

Los pendientes en un escenario pueden ser, a veces, un problema. Nos referimos a que algunos pendientes tienden a ser demasiado grandes o pesados para la poca carne de la que pretendemos que cuelguen; y al hecho de que las actrices sobre el escenario se mueven con bastante más énfasis que nosotros, el resto de los mortales, en nuestra vida normal.
El par de pendientes de las fotografías arriba están hechos de piedras de strass y metal plateado. Inicialmente se trataba de pendientes de clip, pero debieron de sufrir algunos cambios para convertirse de alguna manera en pendientes cómodos para la actriz.
Primero, al ser muy pesados, se les tuvo que unir un perno. Bueno, en este caso se pegó con pegamento...¿¡y, por qué no?!
Pero eso no fue todo. Las tres filas de piedras colgantes no se pegaban a la peluca de la actriz durante los ensayos. Encontraron una solución muy eficaz, según nuestro punto de vista. Usaron una fina capa de silicona y la pegaron por detrás. Así estaban las tres tiras juntas y no se pegaban a la peluca. El mejor de los resultados!

Braille

Aurumania is a scandinavian design brand. As its name says they have a passion for gold and luxury objects.
This hanging bike is one of the most expensive bikes in the world. It is made out of 24-carat gold and Swarovski crystals.
What we find most interesting of this object and this brand is the way they decided to apply their logo.

This logo can be felt with your finger tips like their products. Of course Braille system is the language that allows them to communicate the sense of touch.
In this case crystal stones are what you feel when you want to know their name.


Aurumania es una marca de diseño escandinava. Como su nombre indica sienten una gran pasión por el oro y los productos de lujo. 
La bicicleta colgada (Foto1) es una de las bicicletas más caras del mundo. Esta hecha de oro de 24 quilates y cristales de Swarovski.
Lo que nos parece realmente interesante de este objeto y esta marca es la manera que han escogido para expresar su logo.

Este logo se puede sentir con la punta de los dedos igual que sus productos. Evidentemente el sistema de Braille es el que les permite comunicarse con el sentido del tacto.
En este caso las piedras de cristal son lo que sentimos cuando queremos saber su nombre.

Emerald cut for amethyst plastic

These beautiful faceted plastic amethysts have a transparent frame that enhance its lilac color and separate it from the rest of the composition that we might want to make with them.
The holes along the piece make them hang in a convenient and uncommon position. We could make a cool bracelet composed by some of the stones united by two elastic bands.
